MITCHELL BINDER began his jewelry career at an early age, starting
as a jeweler's apprentice at 15. Mitchell then went on to study
at various highly respected Art Schools including Parsons and
Otis, where he finely tuned his artistic ability while filling
his passionate need to design. In the 1980s and 90s, he created
Artwear Concepts and Hardwear Design. Mitchell's designs have
always reflected his deep devotion to his art, his original style
rooted in the earth and his inspirations from traveling all over
the world. With his sophisticated eye and sheer gift of visualizing
beauty through jewelry design, Mitchell Binder launched his latest
line of silver jewelry, KING BABY, in 2000. These latest designs
for both men and women feature strikingly detailed crowns and
scepters, as well as aspects from the Biker and Surfer Kustom
Culture of Southern California. The King Baby creations are rich,
heavy, unusual pieces of jewelry that uniquely and boldly unite
silver, leather and semi-precious stones like no other designer
has done before. As Mitchell Binder says, "There's a KING
BABY in all of us…"
